Mrs.
Kathi Hoffer and Pastor Mark Hoffer
|
Pastor
Mark Hoffer was saved at the age of 18 on May 13,
1984. He met his wife Kathi in high school, and
they were married in 1987.
Mark
served six years in the U.S. Navy, and was stationed
on the fast attack submarine, USS Honolulu, in Pearl
Harbor, HI.
After
leaving the military, he and his family moved to
the Phoenix, AZ area. He served as youth pastor
under Pastor Jeff Baker at New Life Baptist Church
in Chandler, AZ. It was during his service here
that Pastor Hoffer was called to preach. He also
served as youth pastor under Dr. Ron Leversee in
Gilbert, AZ.
He
earned an associate degree from Desert Baptist Bible
College, which is a ministry of Desert Gateway Baptist
Church. He also served at Valley Baptist Church
in Apache Junction, AZ under Pastor Kevin Cowling.
In
2001, the Hoffer's relocated to Oklahoma City to
attend Heartland Baptist Bible College. While in
Oklahoma City, the Hoffer's attended Southwest Baptist
Church whose pastor is Brother Sam Davison.
Mark
and Kathi were active in many ministries including,
Bus, Sunday school, and retirement home. Pastor
Hoffer received his Bachelor's degree from HBBC,
and was called to be the first pastor of Liberty
Baptist Church. Liberty Baptist Church is a mission
work of New Testament Baptist
Church in Safford, AZ. New Testament Baptist
Church's pastor is Brother Larry Taintor. The Hoffer's
have two children, Jillian and Marcus.
